Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are injectable treatments most commonly based on hyaluronic acid, a substance that holds water within the tissue. Placed carefully within specific layers of the skin or deeper tissue, a filler may restore volume that has reduced over time, support facial proportions or improve the appearance of selected contours. Different products vary in consistency and behaviour, so the choice of product, the quantity used and the exact placement are decided after facial assessment rather than by a fixed formula. More filler does not mean a better outcome; conservative, anatomy-led planning is generally preferred. Treatment is temporary and gradually resorbs. Suitability, expected change and duration depend on individual medical assessment by Dr. Areej Albisher, and results vary between patients.

Common questions
Is there downtime?
Many patients resume usual activities soon afterwards. Swelling, redness, tenderness or bruising at the treated points may occur and commonly settles over several days, though this varies with the area treated and individual factors.
When may results become visible?
A change in contour is often visible immediately, but early swelling can affect the appearance. The settled result is usually assessed around two weeks after treatment, and the degree of change varies.
How many sessions may be recommended?
Some concerns are addressed in one session, while others are treated gradually across staged appointments with review. The plan depends on individual assessment and is not decided by volume alone.
