Profhilo
Profhilo is an injectable made from a high concentration of hyaluronic acid that is designed to spread through the skin after placement, rather than to sit in one spot as a contouring filler does. Its purpose is to support hydration, elasticity and the general quality of skin that has become thinner, drier or less firm with age, sun exposure or weight change. On the face it is commonly placed at a small number of defined points on each side, and it may also be considered for the neck and selected other areas. Because it is not designed to lift or add structural volume, it is not a substitute for a filler, a collagen stimulator or a surgical lift. Suitability is decided after Dr. Areej Albisher has assessed your skin, medical history and goals, and results vary between patients.

What to expect, recovery and risks
Treatment takes a short appointment and uses a fine needle at a few points per side; small raised bumps at the injection points are expected and usually settle within hours to a day. Redness, tenderness, bruising and swelling can occur. Less common risks of any hyaluronic acid injection include infection, nodules and, rarely, injection into a blood vessel, which is why anatomy and technique matter. A course is commonly planned as two sessions about a month apart, with maintenance discussed afterwards; any change is gradual and subtle.
