What to expect, recovery and risks

The device is stamped gently across the skin, usually after a numbing cream; temporary redness, pinpoint marks and mild swelling are expected and generally settle within a day or two. Risks depend partly on the solution delivered and include irritation, infection, allergic reaction and, where neuromodulators are used, unwanted effects on nearby muscles. A single session or a short series may be suggested, with any change usually subtle.

Common questions

Is AQUAGOLD the same as microneedling?

No. Its fine microchannels are designed to deliver small amounts of a treatment solution, whereas microneedling deliberately creates micro-injuries to stimulate the skin's repair response.

What is inside the treatment?

The device can be filled with different solutions. The content is selected individually after assessment, and you will be told exactly what is used.

Is there downtime?

Most people have redness and small marks for up to a day or two. Makeup and active skincare timing is advised after treatment.
