Excel V
Excel V is a laser platform that delivers selected wavelengths of light into the skin, where the energy is absorbed preferentially by targets such as haemoglobin within small blood vessels or, with different settings, by certain pigment. This may reduce the appearance of visible vessels, background facial redness and selected pigment-related concerns in suitable patients. Wavelength, pulse settings and cooling are chosen by Dr. Areej Albisher according to the diagnosis, the concern being treated and skin characteristics, so treatment is not applied uniformly. Excel V may help improve the appearance of redness associated with rosacea, but it does not cure rosacea or permanently prevent pigmentation from returning. Suitability, the number of sessions and the degree of change vary between patients and are decided after in-person medical assessment.

Common questions
Is there downtime?
Many patients resume usual activities soon afterwards. Temporary redness, warmth or mild swelling may occur, and vascular targets can darken briefly before fading. Recovery varies with the settings used and the area treated.
When may results become visible?
Some change may be noticeable within one to two weeks as treated vessels or pigment clear, and further change may follow additional sessions. The degree of improvement varies and cannot be promised.
How many sessions may be recommended?
A short course of sessions spaced several weeks apart is common, with review in between. The recommended number depends on the diagnosis, the concern treated and how your skin responds.
