ellacor
ellacor is a micro-coring treatment that removes very small cores of skin using fine needles, without using thermal energy. Because a small amount of tissue is removed rather than heated, the surrounding skin closes over the treated points, and this may support improvement in selected moderate wrinkles and mid-to-lower facial laxity as healing progresses. Treatment is performed after local anaesthesia and requires a recovery period with visible pinpoint marks for a number of days, which varies between patients. Patient selection is especially important: skin type, tendency to pigment change or scarring, medical history and expectations are all assessed first, and ellacor is not suitable for every skin tone or every patient. It does not replace surgical skin removal. Suitability is decided only after medical assessment by Dr. Areej Albisher.

Common questions
What recovery should I expect after ellacor?
ellacor involves a genuine recovery period. Small pinpoint marks, redness and some swelling are expected for several days, and the timeline depends on the treatment settings, the area treated and individual healing. Aftercare guidance is given in clinic.
When may ellacor results begin to appear?
Any improvement develops as the treated skin heals and remodels, so change is usually assessed over weeks to a few months rather than immediately. The extent of improvement varies and cannot be predicted in advance.
Is more than one ellacor session needed?
Some patients are advised a small number of sessions spaced apart, while for others a single session is reviewed before deciding. This depends on the concern, skin type and response, and is determined only after assessment.
