Procedures
Dermatology procedures
Minor in-clinic dermatology procedures performed by Dr. Areej Albisher after assessment.
What it addresses
Diagnostic and minor surgical needs: suspicious or unclear lesions, skin tags, warts and seborrhoeic keratoses, keloids and inflamed cysts.
Who may be suitable
Anyone needing tissue diagnosis or removal of a benign lesion. Bleeding disorders, anticoagulants and keloid tendency are discussed beforehand.
Procedure overview
Performed in clinic under local anaesthetic: punch or shave biopsy, cryotherapy, electrocautery, intralesional steroid or subcision. Most take 10–20 minutes; biopsy samples go to histopathology.
Downtime & aftercare
A small wound needing simple dressing care for 7–14 days; cryotherapy may blister. Any procedure that breaks the skin can leave a mark, and biopsy results usually return within one to two weeks.
How consultation works
Dr. Areej assesses the concern, discusses alternatives, expected recovery and material risks before recommending a plan.
